Responsibilities
- Perform manual labor tasks including excavation, grading, and asphalt patching
- Operate light machinery such as jackhammers, saws, and compactors
- Assist in traffic control and site setup for public works projects
- Maintain clean and safe work environments following OSHA standards
- Collaborate with crews to complete daily project objectives
- Report maintenance needs and safety hazards to supervisors
- Participate in emergency response for weather-related infrastructure issues
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
- Valid Florida Driver's License with clean record
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds repeatedly throughout shift
- Willingness to work outdoors in all weather conditions
- Pass pre-employment physical and drug screening
- Basic knowledge of hand/power tools
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions
- Commitment to punctuality and reliable attendance
