Responsibilities
- Perform manual labor tasks including road maintenance, drainage system repairs, and park facility upkeep
- Operate light equipment such as jackhammers, saws, and compactors under supervision
- Load/unload construction materials and debris safely using proper lifting techniques
- Adhere strictly to OSHA safety protocols and wear required PPE at all times
- Assist skilled tradespeople with infrastructure projects including pipe installation and concrete work
- Conduct site inspections and report hazards or maintenance needs promptly
- Maintain clean and organized work areas throughout project sites
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED accepted)
- Valid North Carolina driver's license with clean record
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds repeatedly and perform physically demanding tasks
- Willingness to work outdoors in all weather conditions
- Basic knowledge of hand/power tools and construction materials
- Pass pre-employment background check and drug screening
- Ability to follow verbal instructions and work collaboratively in teams
- Flexibility to work evenings/weekends for emergency response projects
