Responsibilities
- Perform manual labor tasks including excavation, grading, and material handling
- Operate light machinery (saws, jackhammers, compactors) safely and efficiently
- Assist in road maintenance, storm drain repairs, and park facility upkeep
- Adhere to strict OSHA safety protocols and proper waste disposal procedures
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on municipal improvement projects
- Conduct daily equipment inspections and report maintenance needs
- Maintain clean and organized job sites throughout operations
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
- Valid driver's license with clean driving record
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds repeatedly and work in extreme weather conditions
- Basic knowledge of construction tools and equipment operation
- OSHA 10-hour construction certification (or willingness to obtain within 30 days)
- Strong work ethic and punctuality with zero tolerance for absenteeism
- Ability to pass pre-employment physical and drug screening
- Previous public works or construction experience preferred
