Responsibilities
- Perform manual labor tasks including excavation, grading, and material handling for public infrastructure projects
- Operate light machinery (e.g., jackhammers, saws) under supervision
- Assist in road maintenance, sidewalk repairs, and park facility upkeep
- Ensure work sites meet safety standards and proper waste disposal protocols
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on time-sensitive municipal projects
- Document work progress and maintain equipment inventory
Qualifications
- Valid Florida Driver's License required
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and perform physically demanding tasks
- Pass pre-employment drug screening and background check
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED accepted)
- OSHA 10-hour construction certification (provided upon hire)
- Willingness to work flexible hours including weekends
- Basic knowledge of hand/power tools and construction materials
