Responsibilities
- Perform manual labor including excavation, paving, and infrastructure repairs
- Operate light machinery (e.g., dump trucks, graders, jackhammers) safely
- Assist in seasonal snow removal and ice control operations
- Maintain public spaces including parks, trails, and municipal buildings
- Follow OSHA safety protocols and maintain clean work sites
- Complete daily equipment inspections and preventative maintenance
- Document work activities and material usage
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Valid Alaska driver's license with clean record
- Ability to lift up to 75 pounds and work in extreme weather
- Experience with hand/power tools and construction equipment preferred
- OSHA 10-hour certification or willingness to obtain
- Pass pre-employment physical and background check
- Ability to work rotating shifts including nights/weekends
