Responsibilities
- Perform manual labor for street maintenance, landscaping, and park upkeep
- Operate light machinery (saws, jackhammers, etc.) under supervision
- Assist in construction site preparation and cleanup
- Respond to emergency storm drain and pothole repairs
- Support traffic control and safety zone setup
- Conduct routine inspections of municipal facilities
- Maintain equipment and supply inventory
Qualifications
- Valid California Driver's License (Class C)
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds repeatedly
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- Pass background check and physical fitness assessment
- Basic knowledge of safety protocols (OSHA 10 preferred)
- Willingness to work outdoors in varying weather conditions
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions
- San Diego residency required within 6 months of hire
