Responsibilities
- Perform street maintenance including pothole repairs, striping, and signage installation
- Operate heavy machinery (excavators, dump trucks, graders) with precision and safety
- Assist in stormwater drainage system maintenance and flood prevention projects
- Execute park landscaping, tree trimming, and green space beautification initiatives
- Support emergency response teams during weather events and public safety incidents
- Conduct routine inspections of municipal infrastructure and report maintenance needs
- Adhere to OSHA standards and maintain a clean, organized worksite
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent required
- Valid Texas Class A or B Commercial Driver's License (CDL)
- Minimum 2 years experience in public works or construction labor
- OSHA 10-hour construction certification preferred
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and perform physically demanding tasks in outdoor conditions
- Basic mechanical aptitude for equipment operation and minor repairs
- Strong commitment to safety protocols and teamwork
- Must pass pre-employment physical and background check
