Responsibilities
- Perform manual labor including digging, hauling, and lifting heavy materials as required for public infrastructure projects.
- Operate and maintain basic construction and maintenance equipment such as dump trucks, backhoes, and jackhammers.
- Assist in road repair, sidewalk maintenance, and storm drain cleaning operations.
- Clear snow and ice from streets, sidewalks, and public parking lots during winter months.
- Collect and haul refuse, recyclables, and yard waste to designated disposal sites.
- Ensure all work sites comply with OSHA safety regulations and local city codes.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment, reporting any hazardous conditions immediately.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent required.
- Valid Class C Massachusetts Driver's License with a clean driving record.
- Ability to perform heavy physical labor for extended periods in various weather conditions.
- Must pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check.
- Basic knowledge of construction tools and safety equipment is a plus.
- Must be able to work rotating shifts, including weekends and holidays.
