Responsibilities
- Perform routine maintenance on streets, sidewalks, and public facilities
- Operate light machinery (sweepers, mowers) and hand tools safely
- Assist in storm drain cleaning and snow removal operations
- Support construction projects including site preparation and debris management
- Conduct daily equipment inspections and safety checks
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on public improvement initiatives
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Valid New Jersey Driver's License with clean record
- OSHA 10-hour construction certification preferred
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and work in all weather conditions
- Basic knowledge of public works equipment operation
- Strong commitment to workplace safety protocols
- Ability to work flexible shifts including weekends/evenings
