Responsibilities
- Perform manual labor tasks including paving, patching, sweeping streets, and maintaining sidewalks.
- Operate light equipment such as loaders, rollers, and sweepers safely and efficiently.
- Assist with snow removal, ice control, and de-icing operations during winter months.
- Collect and dispose of trash, recycling, and bulk items in designated areas.
- Maintain public parks, landscaping, and drainage systems to ensure community standards are met.
- Set up and monitor traffic control devices, signs, and cones to ensure worker and public safety.
- Respond to emergency maintenance requests and perform general facility upkeep.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent required.
- Valid Driver’s License (Class C) with a clean driving record.
- Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs, stand for extended periods, and work in various weather conditions.
- Ability to follow safety protocols and work well within a team environment.
- Willingness to work overtime, weekends, and holidays as needed.
- Basic knowledge of construction tools and safety equipment is a plus.
