Responsibilities
- Perform a variety of manual labor tasks, including digging, grading, and site cleanup.
- Operate and maintain heavy machinery and hand tools in a safe and efficient manner.
- Assist in street maintenance, storm drain cleaning, and snow removal operations.
- Ensure all work sites adhere to strict safety regulations and OSHA standards.
- Transport materials and equipment to and from job locations.
- Inspect public infrastructure and report necessary repairs to supervisors.
- Collaborate effectively with crew members and other city departments.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
- Valid North Carolina Driver's License with a clean driving record.
- Physical ability to perform heavy manual labor in all weather conditions.
- Basic knowledge of construction or landscaping practices is preferred.
- Ability to follow verbal and written instructions accurately.
- Reliable work history and strong work ethic.
