Responsibilities
- Perform general labor duties on public works projects, including street maintenance and repair.
- Operate heavy and light construction equipment safely and efficiently.
- Assist in snow and ice removal during winter months.
- Load, unload, and transport materials and equipment using hand trucks, forklifts, and dump trucks.
- Clear debris and maintain clean work zones and public rights-of-way.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and OSHA guidelines at all times.
- Communicate effectively with supervisors and team members.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent is preferred.
- Valid North Carolina Driver’s License.
- Ability to perform physical labor, including lifting up to 50 lbs and standing for extended periods.
- Basic knowledge of construction or landscaping tools and equipment is a plus.
- Willingness to work in various weather conditions, including heat, rain, and cold.
- Strong work ethic and reliability.
