As a Public Works Laborer, you will play a crucial role in maintaining the infrastructure and aesthetic beauty of our community. Responsibilities
- Perform manual labor tasks including paving, patching, and repairing city streets and sidewalks.
- Maintain and clean public parks, landscaping areas, and drainage systems.
- Assist in traffic control, flagging, and setting up construction zones with proper signage.
- Operate and maintain light to medium equipment, such as jackhammers, rollers, and dump trucks.
- Remove snow, ice, and debris from streets, parking lots, and walkways during winter months.
- Load and unload construction materials, tools, and supplies safely.
- Adhere to all OSHA safety regulations and site-specific safety protocols at all times.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
- Valid California Class C Driverβs License with a clean driving record.
- Ability to perform physical labor for extended periods, including lifting, bending, and standing.
- Willingness to work in various weather conditions, including extreme heat and rain.
- Basic knowledge of construction or landscaping tools and equipment is a plus.
- Must pass a pre-employment physical and drug screen.
