Our team is responsible for maintaining the city's infrastructure, including road maintenance, drainage systems, and public parks. This is a hands-on role that requires physical stamina and a commitment to safety.
Responsibilities
- Operate and maintain heavy machinery such as dump trucks, loaders, and backhoes.
- Perform manual labor tasks including digging, grading, and clearing debris from streets and rights-of-way.
- Assist in the repair and maintenance of public infrastructure, including sidewalks, curbs, and storm drains.
- Load and unload construction materials, tools, and equipment safely.
- Follow all safety protocols and OSHA guidelines to ensure a hazard-free work environment.
- Communicate effectively with crew leaders and site supervisors.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent required.
- Valid Class A or Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL) is a plus but not always required.
- Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check.
- Physical stamina to perform heavy manual labor for 8+ hours per day.
- Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
- Willingness to work overtime and weekends as needed.
