Responsibilities
- Operate heavy equipment such as dump trucks, backhoes, and jackhammers under the supervision of certified operators.
- Perform manual labor including digging, loading, and unloading materials at job sites.
- Maintain and repair roads, sidewalks, and public facilities to ensure community safety and accessibility.
- Follow strict OSHA safety protocols and wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times.
- Communicate effectively with foremen and team members to ensure project milestones are met.
- Assist in traffic control and flagging operations during road maintenance projects.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or General Equivalency Diploma (GED) preferred, but not strictly required for entry-level positions.
- Ability to perform physical labor for extended periods, including lifting heavy objects and standing outdoors.
- Valid Driver’s License with a clean driving record.
- Willingness to work in various weather conditions, including extreme heat and cold.
- Basic mechanical aptitude and a strong desire to learn new skills.
- Pass a background check and drug screening as part of the hiring process.
