Responsibilities
- Perform general labor duties including road maintenance, street sweeping, and traffic control.
- Assist with the repair and maintenance of sidewalks, curbs, and storm drains.
- Operate heavy and light equipment such as asphalt rollers, dump trucks, and jackhammers under supervision.
- Clear snow and ice from public streets and parking lots during winter months.
- Maintain parks, landscaped areas, and public facilities to ensure they meet city standards.
- Load and unload construction materials and tools at job sites.
- Adhere to all safety regulations and wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent required.
- Valid Class C California Driver's License and a clean driving record.
- Physical ability to perform strenuous labor, including lifting heavy objects and working outdoors in various weather conditions.
- Basic knowledge of construction and maintenance tools and equipment is preferred.
- Ability to read and interpret basic blueprints and safety signs.
- Must be available to work occasional overtime and weekends as needed.
