Responsibilities
- Operate and maintain heavy construction equipment such as rollers, graders, dozers, and loaders.
- Perform general labor duties including excavation, dirt moving, and loading/unloading materials.
- Maintain and repair public infrastructure, including roads, sidewalks, and drainage systems.
- Assist in traffic control and flagging operations to ensure crew and public safety.
- Perform daily cleaning and maintenance of equipment and work sites.
- Follow all safety protocols and OSHA regulations to maintain a hazard-free work environment.
- Communicate effectively with supervisors and other crew members to coordinate project tasks.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent required.
- Valid California Class C Driverβs License and a clean driving record.
- Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check.
- Physical ability to perform strenuous manual labor, including lifting 50+ lbs, standing for extended periods, and working in various weather conditions.
- Basic knowledge of construction equipment and safety procedures is preferred but not required.
- Must be able to work overtime and weekends as needed for project deadlines.
