Responsibilities
- Perform general labor duties including excavation, paving, and concrete work.
- Operate light equipment such as rollers, tampers, and jackhammers under supervision.
- Assist in traffic control, flagging, and directing vehicles at job sites.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment in compliance with OSHA standards.
- Load and unload materials, tools, and supplies from trucks.
- Repair and maintain public infrastructure including sidewalks, curbs, and gutters.
- Respond to emergency public works calls and road maintenance requests.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent preferred.
- Valid California Class C Driver's License and clean driving record.
- Ability to lift and carry materials weighing up to 50 pounds repeatedly.
- Willingness to work outdoors in all weather conditions.
- Basic understanding of construction safety protocols.
- Physical stamina and the ability to work in a fast-paced team environment.
