Responsibilities
- Perform manual labor tasks on public infrastructure projects, including road repair, sidewalk maintenance, and drainage cleaning.
- Operate and maintain heavy construction equipment such as backhoes, rollers, and dump trucks.
- Assist in the loading and unloading of construction materials and tools at job sites.
- Clear snow and ice from public roads and walkways during inclement weather events.
- Follow all OSHA safety regulations and site-specific safety protocols to ensure a hazard-free environment.
- Communicate clearly with foremen, supervisors, and fellow crew members to coordinate tasks effectively.
- Perform basic maintenance on tools and machinery as directed.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent required.
- Valid Driver’s License with a clean driving record.
- Ability to perform physical labor for extended periods, including lifting 50+ lbs and standing on uneven terrain.
- Basic knowledge of construction tools and machinery is a plus.
- Willingness to work in various weather conditions, including extreme heat and rain.
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screening.
- Strong work ethic and reliability.
