Responsibilities
- Operate and maintain heavy machinery and construction equipment, including backhoes, rollers, and dump trucks.
- Perform general labor tasks such as digging, grading, and paving roadways and sidewalks.
- Assist with traffic control, flagging, and safety zone management during road construction.
- Clear snow and ice from public roads, parking lots, and walkways during adverse weather conditions.
- Maintain public parks, drainage systems, and municipal infrastructure to ensure safety and compliance.
- Load and unload construction materials and debris from trucks using hand tools.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and OSHA regulations to maintain a safe worksite.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Valid Class C Driver's License with a clean driving record.
- Physical ability to perform strenuous outdoor labor for extended periods in various weather conditions.
- Ability to lift, carry, and push objects weighing up to 50+ pounds frequently.
- Basic knowledge of construction safety practices and machinery operation is a plus.
- Must be a U.S. Citizen or authorized to work in the United States.
