Responsibilities
- Perform general labor duties including paving, patching, and maintaining city streets and sidewalks.
- Operate heavy machinery such as dump trucks, loaders, and jackhammers safely and efficiently.
- Assist in snow and ice removal operations during inclement weather conditions.
- Set up and maintain traffic control devices and work zones for road construction projects.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment by following all OSHA safety regulations.
- Load and unload construction materials and equipment as needed for daily operations.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent preferred.
- Valid Tennessee Class D Driver's License required.
- Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform manual labor in various weather conditions.
- Previous experience in public works, construction, or landscaping is a plus.
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screen.
- Knowledge of basic hand tools and construction equipment operation.
