Responsibilities
- Perform manual labor tasks including excavation, grading, and loading/unloading materials.
- Operate and maintain light to medium construction equipment such as jackhammers, compressors, and asphalt rollers.
- Assist in road maintenance, pothole repair, and traffic control management.
- Conduct routine inspections of public infrastructure to identify maintenance needs.
- Ensure strict adherence to all safety protocols and OSHA regulations on job sites.
- Collaborate with crew leaders and engineers to execute project specifications efficiently.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment, including waste removal and site cleanup.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent required.
- Valid Driverβs License with a clean driving record.
- Physical stamina to perform heavy labor, including lifting up to 50 lbs repeatedly.
- Basic knowledge of construction tools, machinery, and safety practices.
- Ability to work in various weather conditions and extended shifts when necessary.
- Strong work ethic and the ability to work effectively as part of a diverse team.
- Willingness to undergo a background check and drug screening.
