Responsibilities
- Assist in construction, repair, and maintenance of public infrastructure including roads, sidewalks, and parks
- Operate hand/power tools and equipment safely under supervision
- Load/unload materials and equipment at job sites
- Perform site cleanup and debris removal to maintain safety standards
- Follow all city safety protocols and OSHA guidelines
- Work collaboratively with crew members to complete daily tasks
- Participate in emergency response duties as needed
Qualifications
- No prior experience required – training provided
- Ability to perform physically demanding tasks including lifting up to 50 pounds
- Willingness to work outdoors in various weather conditions
- Valid driver's license preferred (not required)
- Ability to stand/walk for extended periods and perform repetitive motions
- Basic math skills for measurement and material calculations
- Commitment to teamwork and following instructions
- Ability to pass pre-employment background check
