Responsibilities
- Assist in construction, maintenance, and repair of public facilities and roads
- Operate hand tools, power equipment, and machinery under supervision
- Perform manual labor including digging, lifting, and material handling
- Ensure work sites comply with safety regulations and cleanliness standards
- Support traffic control and flagging operations during roadwork
- Participate in emergency response for public infrastructure issues
- Document daily work activities and materials used
Qualifications
- No prior experience required – we train all new hires!
- Ability to perform physically demanding tasks in outdoor environments
- Basic mechanical aptitude and willingness to operate tools
- Valid driver's license (Class D or higher)
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds regularly
- Commitment to following safety protocols and procedures
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED accepted)
- Ability to work flexible hours including weekends and emergencies
