Responsibilities
- Perform manual labor tasks including excavation, paving, and equipment operation under supervision
- Assist in road maintenance, drainage systems, and park infrastructure projects
- Operate hand/power tools and light machinery (training provided)
- Maintain clean and safe work sites following OSHA protocols
- Support emergency response teams during weather-related public works incidents
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to meet project deadlines
- Complete daily equipment inspections and basic maintenance tasks
Qualifications
- Must be 18+ years old with authorization to work in the US
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and perform physically demanding tasks
- Valid New Mexico driver's license or ability to obtain within 30 days
- Willingness to work outdoors in varying weather conditions
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED accepted)
- No prior experience required – full training provided
- Pass background check and pre-employment physical
- Basic math skills for measurements and material calculations
