Responsibilities
- Perform manual labor tasks including digging, lifting, and operating basic hand/power tools
- Assist in construction, maintenance, and repair of public infrastructure (roads, parks, facilities)
- Follow safety protocols and maintain clean work sites
- Collaborate with skilled tradespeople and fellow laborers
- Operate light machinery (e.g., jackhammers, saws) after proper training
- Report equipment issues and maintenance needs
- Support emergency response during weather-related incidents
Qualifications
- No prior experience required – we train on the job!
- Valid California Driver's License (required)
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and stand for extended periods
- Willingness to work outdoors in various weather conditions
- Basic understanding of written safety instructions
- High school diploma or equivalent (preferred but not required)
- Pass pre-employment physical and drug screening
