Responsibilities
- Assist in construction, maintenance, and repair of city infrastructure including roads, sidewalks, and drainage systems
- Operate hand tools, power equipment, and light machinery under supervision
- Perform manual labor tasks such as digging, lifting, loading/unloading materials, and debris removal
- Follow safety protocols and maintain clean, organized work sites
- Support emergency response efforts during weather-related incidents
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to meet project deadlines
- Participate in ongoing skills development and safety certifications
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED) required
- Valid California Driver's License preferred but not mandatory at application
