Responsibilities
- Assist in construction, repair, and maintenance of public infrastructure including roads, sidewalks, and drainage systems
- Operate hand tools, power equipment, and light machinery under supervision
- Load/unload materials, debris, and equipment safely
- Follow strict safety protocols and maintain clean job sites
- Support team members in completing daily work assignments efficiently
- Participate in emergency response operations during severe weather events
- Perform routine inspections and report maintenance needs
Qualifications
- No prior experience required - comprehensive training provided
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physically demanding tasks
- Valid California Driver's License (Class C)
- Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions
- Strong commitment to workplace safety and compliance
- Ability to follow instructions and work collaboratively in a team
