Responsibilities
- Assist in construction, maintenance, and repair of public infrastructure including roads, sidewalks, and parks
- Operate basic hand tools and equipment under supervision (shovels, brooms, jackhammers)
- Perform manual labor tasks such as digging, lifting, loading/unloading materials, and debris cleanup
- Follow safety protocols and maintain clean, organized work sites
- Support senior crew members with project execution and material handling
- Participate in emergency response activities during weather-related incidents
- Complete daily equipment checks and report maintenance needs
Qualifications
- No prior experience required—comprehensive training provided
- Ability to perform physically demanding tasks in various weather conditions
- Valid driver's license or ability to obtain within 30 days
- Strong work ethic and commitment to punctuality and reliability
- Ability to follow instructions and work collaboratively in a team environment
- Basic math skills for measurements and material calculations
- Willingness to work flexible hours including weekends during emergencies
