Responsibilities
- Perform manual labor tasks including digging, grading, and loading/unloading construction materials.
- Operate basic construction equipment and machinery, such as backhoes, dump trucks, and jackhammers, under strict supervision.
- Maintain public parks, streets, and sidewalks to ensure community safety and aesthetics.
- Assist in traffic control, flagging, and barricade placement during road work projects.
- Respond to emergency maintenance requests and assist in storm drain cleaning during heavy rain.
- Ensure all work areas are clean, organized, and comply with OSHA safety regulations.
- Follow verbal and written instructions from supervisors to complete assigned tasks efficiently.
Qualifications
- Education: High School Diploma or GED equivalent required.
- Age: Must be at least 18 years of age.
- License: Valid California Driverβs License is preferred but not mandatory for the entry-level role.
- Physical Ability: Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs, stand for extended periods, and work in various weather conditions.
- Background: Ability to pass a standard background check and drug screen.
- Attitude: Strong desire to learn new skills and a commitment to safety.
