Responsibilities
- Perform construction and maintenance tasks on public infrastructure (roads, sidewalks, drainage systems)
- Operate heavy machinery and power tools under supervision during training
- Assist in emergency stormwater response and snow removal operations
- Conduct routine inspections of public works facilities
- Maintain safe work practices and comply with OSHA standards
- Document work activities and equipment usage
- Collaborate with cross-functional crews on large-scale projects
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
- Valid driver's license with clean record
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and perform physical labor in all weather conditions
- Willingness to complete paid training program (4-8 weeks)
- Basic math and measurement skills
- Commitment to safety protocols and teamwork
- Pass background check and pre-employment physical
- Residency in Omaha metropolitan area preferred
