Responsibilities
- Operate and maintain public works equipment (dump trucks, graders, etc.)
- Perform road construction, repair, and maintenance tasks
- Excavate and grade land for infrastructure projects
- Install and repair traffic signals and signage
- Conduct routine safety inspections of work sites
- Assist in stormwater drainage system maintenance
- Follow all city safety protocols and environmental regulations
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
- Valid Texas Driver's License (Class B or higher preferred)
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and work in extreme weather conditions
- Basic math skills for measurement calculations
- Strong commitment to workplace safety
- Willingness to complete paid training program (4-6 weeks)
- Ability to pass pre-employment physical and drug screen
