Responsibilities
- Perform manual labor tasks including excavation, paving, and equipment operation under supervision
- Participate in infrastructure maintenance (roads, sidewalks, parks) following safety guidelines
- Operate hand/power tools and light machinery after completing training modules
- Assist in emergency response during severe weather events
- Complete OSHA safety certifications and equipment operation training
- Document work activities and maintain equipment logs
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on public improvement projects
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- Valid driver's license with clean driving record
- Ability to lift 50+ lbs and work in outdoor conditions (heat/cold)
- Pass pre-employment physical and drug screening
- Commitment to punctuality and reliability
- Basic math skills for material calculations
- No prior experience required – training provided
- Willingness to work flexible hours including weekends during emergencies
