Responsibilities
- Perform infrastructure maintenance including road repairs, drainage system upkeep, and sidewalk maintenance
- Operate light machinery and hand tools safely under supervision during training
- Assist in storm response and emergency public works projects
- Maintain cleanliness and safety of work zones and public facilities
- Participate in team-based construction and landscaping projects
- Follow all OSHA and municipal safety protocols
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and perform physical labor in various weather conditions
- Valid Tennessee driver's license (required within 30 days of hire)
- Willingness to complete paid on-the-job training program
- Basic mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn equipment operation
- Strong work ethic and commitment to public service
- Ability to pass background check and drug screening
