Responsibilities
- Assist in construction, maintenance, and repair of public infrastructure including roads, sidewalks, and parks
- Operate hand tools, power equipment, and machinery under supervision
- Follow strict safety protocols and use personal protective equipment
- Perform manual labor tasks including digging, lifting, material handling, and debris removal
- Collaborate with skilled tradespeople on infrastructure projects
- Conduct site preparation and cleanup activities
- Complete daily work logs and report maintenance issues
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
- Must be 18+ years old and authorized to work in the US
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and perform physically demanding tasks
- Valid California driver's license (or obtain within 30 days)
- Pass pre-employment physical and drug screening
- Willingness to work outdoors in various weather conditions
- No prior experience necessaryâpaid training provided
