As a Laborer, you will play a crucial role in ensuring our roads, streets, and public spaces remain in top condition year-round. This position offers flexible scheduling and the opportunity to work with a diverse team of professionals committed to excellence.
Responsibilities
- Perform manual labor tasks including snow removal, trash collection, and street sweeping to maintain city cleanliness.
- Repair and maintain public infrastructure such as potholes, signs, and pavement markings.
- Operate heavy equipment (e.g., loaders, dump trucks, jackhammers) under supervision to support construction projects.
- Assist with stormwater management by clearing drains and ditches to prevent flooding and ensure proper drainage.
- Ensure site safety compliance by strictly adhering to OSHA standards and wearing all required personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Collaborate with crews on various municipal projects to improve the overall quality of city services.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED is required.
- Valid Driver’s License with a clean driving record is mandatory.
- Physical stamina required to perform heavy lifting, standing for long periods, and working in all weather conditions.
- Previous experience in construction, landscaping, or municipal services is a plus but not required.
- Ability to pass a background check and pre-employment drug screening.
- Basic mechanical aptitude and a strong willingness to learn new skills.
