As a vital member of our Public Works division, you'll perform hands-on tasks that maintain and enhance our roads, parks, and public facilities. We provide all necessary equipment and PPE – just bring your strong work ethic and commitment to excellence.
Responsibilities
- Perform heavy manual labor including excavation, grading, and material handling
- Operate light machinery (jackhammers, saws, pressure washers) under supervision
- Assist in road maintenance, drainage system upkeep, and park facility repairs
- Ensure work areas comply with OSHA safety standards and municipal regulations
- Collaborate with crews to complete time-sensitive infrastructure projects
- Document daily work activities and material usage accurately
- Respond to emergency weather-related maintenance calls as needed
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED) required
- Valid Pennsylvania driver's license with clean record
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds repeatedly and perform physically demanding tasks
- Willingness to work outdoors in all weather conditions
- Basic knowledge of hand tools and construction equipment operation
- Successful completion of pre-employment physical and drug screening
- Prior public works or construction experience preferred but not required
