Responsibilities
- Perform daily inspections and maintenance of public infrastructure (roads, drainage systems, parks)
- Operate heavy machinery (excavators, graders) and hand tools safely
- Document work progress via mobile app during site visits
- Collaborate with engineering teams on remote project planning
- Respond to emergency weather-related infrastructure issues
- Participate in sustainability initiatives (recycling programs, green infrastructure)
- Complete daily reports and timecards through remote portal
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Valid NC Driver's Class B license
- OSHA 10-hour construction certification
- 2+ years infrastructure maintenance experience
- Ability to lift 50+ lbs and work in extreme weather
- Basic proficiency with mobile reporting apps
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills
- Pass background check and drug screening
