Responsibilities
- Perform field inspections and maintenance of public infrastructure including roads, drainage systems, and parks
- Operate heavy machinery and specialized equipment safely and efficiently
- Complete digital documentation and reporting tasks remotely using municipal software systems
- Collaborate with engineering teams via virtual meetings for project planning and updates
- Respond to emergency public works calls with flexible on-site deployment
- Manage inventory and supply chains through digital tracking systems
- Participate in community outreach programs through hybrid event coordination
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; vocational certification in construction/maintenance preferred
- Valid California Class C Driver's License with clean driving record
- OSHA 10-hour construction certification or ability to obtain within 30 days
- Proficiency in digital documentation tools (Google Workspace, MS Office)
- Experience with remote work protocols and self-management
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and work in various weather conditions
- Basic knowledge of CAD software or GIS mapping systems
- Pass background check and drug screening
