Responsibilities
- Perform hands-on maintenance of public infrastructure including roads, parks, and utilities
- Operate heavy machinery (excavators, graders) and hand tools safely and efficiently
- Collaborate with team leads via remote platforms for task planning and reporting
- Conduct field inspections and document findings using mobile technology
- Adhere to OSHA safety protocols and environmental regulations
- Respond to emergency weather-related public works requests
- Participate in infrastructure improvement projects across the metro area
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
- Valid driver's license with clean record
- 1+ years of construction or public works experience preferred
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and work in extreme weather conditions
- Basic proficiency with digital reporting tools (e.g., mobile apps, cloud platforms)
- OSHA 10-hour construction certification or willingness to obtain
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Must pass background check and pre-employment physical
