Responsibilities
- Perform routine maintenance and repair of streets, sidewalks, and public infrastructure.
- Assist with snow and ice removal operations during inclement weather.
- Operate and maintain light to medium heavy equipment, including dump trucks, loaders, and jackhammers.
- Conduct site inspections to identify hazards and ensure compliance with safety standards.
- Load and unload materials, tools, and supplies for construction and maintenance projects.
- Follow all traffic control procedures and work safely around heavy machinery and public traffic.
- Collaborate with supervisors and team members to complete projects efficiently and on time.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent preferred.
- Ability to lift and carry heavy objects (up to 50 lbs) repeatedly throughout the shift.
- Valid Virginia Driver’s License (Class C) with a good driving record.
- Basic knowledge of construction and maintenance tools and equipment.
- Physical stamina to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
- Strong commitment to safety protocols and workplace compliance.
- Willingness to work overtime and flexible shifts as needed.
