Responsibilities
- Perform manual labor tasks including excavation, grading, and paving under supervisor guidance
- Operate light machinery (e.g., jackhammers, concrete saws) with proper safety protocols
- Assist in installing/maintaining public infrastructure (roads, sidewalks, drainage systems)
- Load/unload construction materials and maintain organized job sites
- Conduct routine inspections and report infrastructure concerns promptly
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to meet project deadlines
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
- Valid California Driver's License with clean driving record
- OSHA 10-Hour Construction Safety certification preferred
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and perform physically demanding tasks
- Basic knowledge of construction tools and materials handling
- Strong work ethic with punctual attendance reliability
- Pass pre-employment physical and background check
