Responsibilities
- Perform general labor duties including asphalt paving, concrete patching, and snow removal.
- Operate and maintain various heavy and light equipment, such as loaders, graders, and jackhammers.
- Assist in the installation and repair of traffic signs, guardrails, and drainage systems.
- Ensure all work sites comply with OSHA safety regulations and City policies.
- Load and unload materials, tools, and supplies as needed for daily operations.
- Communicate effectively with supervisors and other team members to coordinate tasks.
- Perform routine inspections of public infrastructure to identify maintenance needs.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent required.
- Valid Class C Driver's License with a good driving record.
- Previous experience in construction, landscaping, or public works is highly preferred.
- Ability to perform physical labor for extended periods, including lifting heavy objects and operating machinery.
- Must pass a post-offer medical examination and drug screen.
- Basic knowledge of construction safety practices and equipment operation is a plus.
