Responsibilities
- Operate light/heavy equipment (backhoes, dump trucks, jackhammers)
- Perform manual labor in road construction, drainage, and landscaping projects
- Maintain public facilities, parks, and stormwater systems
- Follow OSHA safety protocols and maintain clean work zones
- Complete daily equipment inspections and maintenance checks
- Assist with emergency response during natural disasters
- Document work progress and material usage
Qualifications
- Valid California Driver's License (Class C)
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds repeatedly
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
- Pass pre-employment physical and drug screening
- Basic knowledge of construction tools/materials
- Ability to work in extreme weather conditions
- Strong teamwork and communication skills
- Willingness to obtain required certifications
