Responsibilities
- Operate light/heavy equipment (e.g., jackhammers, saws, trucks) for construction/maintenance tasks
- Perform manual labor including digging, lifting, and material handling (up to 50 lbs)
- Assist in repairing roads, sidewalks, and drainage systems
- Maintain job site cleanliness and adhere to OSHA safety protocols
- Support traffic control and flagging operations during projects
- Collaborate with crew members on daily task assignments
- Document work progress and equipment usage logs
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
- Valid California Driver's License (Class C)
- 1+ years of construction or public works experience preferred
- Ability to pass pre-employment physical and drug screening
- OSHA 10-hour Construction certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Basic knowledge of hand/power tools and equipment operation
- Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions
- Strong teamwork and communication skills
