Responsibilities
- Operate heavy machinery including excavators, dump trucks, and jackhammers
- Perform manual labor tasks including digging, lifting, and material handling
- Maintain public infrastructure including roads, sidewalks, and parks
- Follow strict safety protocols and wear required PPE
- Assist in emergency response during severe weather events
- Complete daily equipment maintenance and inspection reports
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on public projects
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Valid driver's license with clean record
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds repeatedly
- Willingness to work outdoors in all weather conditions
- Basic mechanical knowledge preferred
- Ability to pass pre-employment physical examination
- OSHA 10-hour certification (or willingness to obtain)
- St. Louis residency preferred
