Responsibilities
- Perform general labor tasks including paving, patching, and maintaining streets, sidewalks, and drainage systems.
- Operate and maintain light to heavy-duty construction and maintenance equipment such as asphalt rollers, dump trucks, and jackhammers.
- Assist in traffic control operations, including flagging and setting up signs during construction zones.
- Participate in snow and ice removal operations during winter months to ensure public safety.
- Perform landscaping duties, including mowing, edging, and planting to enhance public spaces.
- Load and unload materials, tools, and equipment safely and efficiently.
- Adhere to all safety regulations and OSHA guidelines while on the job site.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent is required.
- Valid Arizona Class C Driver's License is required.
- Physical ability to perform strenuous labor, including lifting heavy objects (up to 50 lbs) and working in various weather conditions.
- Previous experience in public works, construction, or landscaping is preferred but not mandatory.
- Ability to read and understand basic safety instructions and job orders.
- Must pass a post-offer drug screen and background check.
- Willingness to work overtime, weekends, and holidays as required.
