Responsibilities
- Perform manual labor for street maintenance, park construction, and facility upkeep
- Operate light machinery (saws, jackhammers, dump trucks) under supervision
- Assist in traffic control and site setup for public works projects
- Maintain safe work environments following OSHA and city protocols
- Support emergency response during storms and natural disasters
- Complete daily equipment inspections and basic maintenance
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Valid California Driver's License with clean record
- Ability to lift 50+ lbs and perform physically demanding tasks
- Basic knowledge of construction safety standards
- Pass pre-employment physical and background check
- Willingness to work flexible hours including weekends
- Experience with hand/power tools preferred
