Responsibilities
- Perform manual labor including excavation, grading, and paving operations
- Operate light equipment (e.g., jackhammers, saws, dump trucks) safely and efficiently
- Assist in road maintenance, repair, and snow removal activities
- Inspect and maintain public facilities (sidewalks, drainage systems, etc.)
- Adhere to OSHA safety protocols and departmental standards
- Document work activities and maintain equipment logs
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on infrastructure projects
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
- Valid Tennessee driver's license with clean record
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and perform physically demanding tasks
- Basic knowledge of construction tools and equipment
- Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions
- Strong teamwork and communication skills
- OSHA 10-hour certification preferred (training provided)
