Responsibilities
- Perform manual labor in road construction, sewer maintenance, and park upkeep
- Operate heavy machinery including excavators, dump trucks, and paving equipment
- Ensure compliance with OSHA safety protocols and municipal regulations
- Assist in emergency storm response and infrastructure repairs
- Conduct routine inspections of public works sites
- Maintain accurate work documentation and equipment logs
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on large-scale projects
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
- Valid Minnesota Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL)
- Minimum 1 year experience in construction or public works
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and work in extreme weather conditions
- OSHA 10-hour construction certification preferred
- Basic knowledge of blueprints and survey equipment
- Pass pre-employment physical and drug screening
- Strong teamwork and communication skills
